How does the billing cycle work for LeadMagnet?
LeadMagnet operates on a prepaid service model. When you pay your monthly invoice, you are essentially prepaying for the services for the following/upcoming month.
If I upgrade to a higher-tiered plan mid-cycle, when do I gain access to the new features?
If you upgrade to a higher-tiered plan in the middle of your billing cycle, you gain immediate access to the new features of that plan. This upgrade is applied before the next billing date.
How does LeadMagnet handle the adjustment for a mid-cycle upgrade?
LeadMagnet adjusts pro-rata for the period during which you were still using the lower-tiered plan. The system calculates the per-day amount owed for the lower-tiered plan, multiplies it by the number of days under that plan, and deducts it from the total amount to be paid for the higher-tiered plan.
Can you provide an example of how the adjustment is calculated?
Certainly! Let's say the lower-tiered plan costs $49, the higher-tiered plan costs $149, your last billing date was March 5th, the current billing date is March 15th, and you used the lower-tiered plan for 10 days. After calculation, you may have a credit of $16.33 and an amount to be billed of $99.33. The next billing date will be May 5th. Example Calculation: Cost of Lower tiered plan: $49 Cost of Higher tiered plan: $149 Last Billing Date: March 5th Current Billing Date: March 15th Number of Days lower-tiered plan was used: 10 days Credits: $49 - [($49/30) X 10] = $16.33 No. of Days Remaining: 20 Amount to be Billed: [($149/30) X 20] - $16.33 = $99.33 Next Billing Date: May 5th We hope this example clarifies the pro-rata adjustment process.
